My name is Ned, I’m a proud Richmond local and Yarra resident. I grew up in the inner city, my first job was at a falafel shop in Fitzroy, and I’ve been a renter in Richmond for a number of years.
I’m a union organiser at the Australian Services Union, having previously worked at a number of non-profits and for the late Senator Linda White as an adviser. I’ve been a member of the ALP since 2016, and currently serve as Richmond Branch President.
I am running for council because I love Richmond. From Victoria Street to the river, it is a very special place. Yet, time and time again, council ignores our neck of the woods, hurting our community and failing to ensure the delivery of basic council services. I want to build a better Yarra with services that work for our community and keep our streets safe and clean.
I am excited to hit the ground running and ensure the Labor values are proudly represented on council.
Victorian Labor meets, works and campaigns on the traditional lands of the First Peoples of Victoria. We pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging – and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within our country and our Party.
